Taurito

TAURITO WEATHER

Taurito is a resort where entertainment is found mainly within the hotels (which are predominantly All-Inclusive).  You will probably find a mini disco, flamenco act or tribute singer or band listed on the activities board.  Another favourite pastime is relaxing as you watch the sky change colours over the sea at dusk.

For those wanting more variety or nightlife, Puerto Rico with endless restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and entertainment is just a 10 minute taxi ride away.

Access to Taurito is made easy via the GC1 from Puerto Rico or via the coastal road, however to neighbouring Puerto de Mogan, the coastal road has been closed due to unsafe conditions.

Playa Taurito, located on the southwest coast, is perfect for those looking for a relaxing get-away-from-it-all break, spending time around the pool or those wanting a base from which to get out and explore the island by car.

The hotels are built on the steep sides of the narrow valley of Taurito, with a central small shopping arcade and plaza. In Taurito you can find the only Waterpark with sea water in the Gran Canaria; with big and more smaller slides than other waterparks it has been described as suitable for smaller children.

The small 150 metre beach has almost black volcanic sand with a charming natural feel and a small promenade of restaurants and cafes and water activities and volleyball.
